Corrugated sheets are made of sheet steel, which can be coated with a protective layer of zinc (galvanized corrugated sheets) or painted with enamel. Corrugated sheets can also be made of non-ferrous metals - copper or aluminum.
The thickness of industrially produced corrugated sheets ranges from 0.5 to 1 mm.
Depending on the primary use, each type of corrugated sheet has a special marking. Before buying corrugated sheets, you need to know how to correctly decipher the marking of sheets, consisting of numbers and letters. Let's figure out what the letters and numbers mean in different brands of corrugated sheets.
The first letter indicates the main purpose of the product.
C - wall corrugated sheet, also used in the construction of fences;
H - load-bearing, which is also used as a roofing material, capable of withstanding both the weight of a person and a significant snow load without deformation;
NS - universal corrugated sheet, which can be used both for roofing and for use in wall fences.
It is impossible to make a strip foundation for a fence without using formwork. It is at this stage that we begin to build it. For this purpose, we use edged boards 25 mm thick. We prepare the boards in such a way that the foundation strip protrudes 300 mm above ground level. We make a box out of the boards and secure it in the trench, installing spacer bars and adding soil.
Now you can start pouring the concrete strip. If the fence structure includes load-bearing posts, they must be installed in the trench and leveled before pouring concrete.
Moreover, concreting can be done in two ways:
- continuous laying of concrete mix, without waiting for the setting of the previous layer;
- laying concrete with breaks for the setting of the previously laid layer.
The first method of laying is suitable for shallow trenches. To increase the durability of volumetric foundations, it is better to use the second method.
After the concrete strip has completely hardened, the formwork can be removed and soil can be added. The foundation is ready.
